Publication Ethics

Journal of Applied Engineering & Technology (JAET) is a peer-reviewed electronic international journal. This statement clarifies ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the authors, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewers­­­­­. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. The parties in the publication must agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for publication. Journal of Applied Engineering & Technology (JAET) takes the responsibility of ethical publication and other publication responsibilities.

Publication decisions

The chief editor and editorial board members of Journal of Applied Engineering & Technology (JAET) will be responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published on the basis of validation and quality of the work. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding manuscript quality, copyright and plagiarism issues.

Fair play

The chief editor and editorial members at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

The chief editor and editorial members must not reveal any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, chief editor, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Inside manuscript the unpublished matter revealed in the submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the precise written consent of the corresponding author.

Duties of Reviewers

The reviewer’s will contribute in editorial decisions. Peer review supports the chief editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the corresponding author may also assist the corresponding author in enlightening the Manuscript quality. The selected reviewers may notify the editor for not involving in the review process, with the valid reason. The submitted manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the chief editor.

Standards of Neutrality and Source Acknowledgement

Reviews should be conducted accurately without any private criticism of the corresponding author is inappropriate. Referees should precise their reviews evidently with supportive arguments. It is the responsibility of the reviewers that they should recognize relevant available work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement had been formerly reported or published should be cited by authors. A reviewer should acknowledge the editor about substantial similarity of manuscript submitted.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Information, Comments or ideas attained via peer review must be reserved confidential and not recycled for any private advantage. Reviewers should deny to review the manuscript in which they have conflicts of interest in terms of collaboration, relationship with any of the authors, institute or company related to manuscripts.
